Fall back carefully
If a container cannot be rewritten safely, you can make a Fresh Copy instead. It is clearly marked as re-encoded.
SCOPE, NOT MAGIC
CleanToPost cleans file metadata. It does not promise platform behavior.
Social platforms can use signals that are not stored as removable file metadata. CleanToPost does not remove pixel-level watermarks such as SynthID and cannot guarantee whether a platform will add an AI label. The product stays deliberately precise about what it changes.

The useful questions.
Does CleanToPost upload my images?
No. Image inspection and cleaning happen locally in your browser. Your source image bytes are not sent to a CleanToPost server.
What does it remove?
V1 targets supported EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, comments, textual metadata and C2PA provenance in JPEG and PNG files. Rendering-critical data is preserved when required.
What does “Lossless Clean” mean?
It means the encoded image payload is copied without recompression. Container metadata can change, while the compressed image data stays byte-for-byte intact.
What is a Fresh Copy?
When a lossless rewrite is not safe, Fresh Copy decodes and re-encodes the image locally in your browser. CleanToPost tells you when this happens.
Will this remove SynthID or guarantee no AI label?
No. SynthID is a pixel-level signal, not ordinary file metadata. Platforms may also use their own systems, so CleanToPost makes no guarantee about labeling behavior.
Which files are supported?
JPEG/JPG and PNG in V1. Other formats may come later if real usage justifies them.
